Hi – I’ve got an Asus P5E3 Premium WiFi-AP motherboard and 2 sticks of Corsair CM3X2048-1600C9DHX, which, isn’t being made any more. The timing and voltage are 9-9-9-24 and 1.8v – the same as the Patriot PGS34G1600ELK. Can you mix the two? Has anyone out there tried it?

Hey,
For the most part you should be able to mix and match memory of the same capacity and speed but you might not be able to get the rated speeds to work with the extra set (regardless of brand). I would highly recommend trying to get the same kit if you can but as long as you're okay with possibly having to run them at lower speeds. |
